Upon graduating in 1996 with a masters degree in architecture from the University of Minnesota, owner Bill Lewis moved to San Francisco, where he completed his internship with Charlie Barnett and Associates. This opportunity allowed him to work on a wide range of distinctive residential architecture projects, throughout the bay area, focusing on creating spaces with clean lines and strong connections to the outdoors. After returning to the Twin Cities and further refining his practice at a number of well regarded local firms, he launched The Lewis Design Studios in 2002.
